WF Kids Rabbit Chair

The Rabbit Chair, with its distinctive backrest resembling rabbit ears, is made from solid cypress wood. It is made using a technique called Uzukuri processing, which allows you to enjoy the texture of the wood with your eyes and skin. When the surface of the wood is rubbed and polished, the soft parts of the annual rings are scraped off, revealing the beautiful grain. It is finished with colored oil, which allows you to see the natural grain, knots, and shading.

With this in mind, we worked with interior designer Watanabe Masaru to develop furniture for children in the true sense of the word, for the children of the future." (Hiromatsu Mokko)

Yu Watanabe
Born in Tokyo in 1929. After graduating from the Department of Industrial Design at Chiba University, he became a self-employed designer. He has served as chairman of the Japan Interior Designers Association and professor at Chiba Institute of Technology. In response to a strong call from Hiromatsu Mokko, he has begun designing children's furniture based on a completely new concept. In a short period of time, he has developed a number of unique pieces of furniture, including the innovative Kids' Furniture.
