About Hiromatsu Woodworks
As a furniture manufacturer, Hiromatsu Mokko has enjoyed the blessings of nature and what can it do for itself?
We believe that this means looking with a kind eye toward the global environment and the future.
At Hiromatsu Mokko, we use properly managed wood to make our furniture. Each piece of wood is a precious resource that has taken many years to grow, and we not only create furniture from that wood, but also make every effort to make the most of the scraps that are generated during the process and not waste them.
As part of this initiative, products such as "SONO Beans" and "SONO Clay" were created using scraps of wood. We will now donate a portion of the sales from these products to the forest conservation organization "More Trees*1" and the Japan Committee for UNICEF*2, which protects the lives and health of children around the world, as part of our efforts to support activities to protect the Earth and our future.
We have been working to provide support little by little in whatever way we can, such as by holding charity auctions in-house to support children's facilities and the recovery of disaster-stricken areas, and by sending a furniture repair team to customers after the earthquake.
Going forward, we will continue to strive to create furniture that can be used for generations to come, and will continue to support various forms of activities with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.
*1 We will donate 300,000 yen per year from the sales of products made from scrap wood to the forest conservation organization "More Trees."
*2 10% of the sales of products made from scrap materials will be donated to the Japan Committee for UNICEF.
