WF Kids Low Table 077

A children's table in the shape of a flower, made of solid cypress wood. It creates a place for children to sit on the floor and draw or read a picture book. The table is made using the “Uzukuri” process, which allows you to enjoy the texture of the wood with your eyes and skin. When the surface of the wood is polished by rubbing, the soft parts of the annual rings are shaved off, and the grain of the wood stands out beautifully. The wood is finished with colored oil, which reveals the natural grain, knots, and shading of the wood.

We make our products with the hope that the children who will be responsible for the future will develop a rich sensitivity. Yu Watanabe
Born in Tokyo in 1929. After graduating from Chiba University with a degree in industrial design, he became a self-employed designer. （He has served as president of the Japan Interior Designers Association and professor at the Chiba Institute of Technology. In response to a request from Hiromatsu Woodworking, he embarked on the design of children's furniture based on a completely new concept. In a short period of time, he developed several unique pieces of furniture including Kid's Furniture with a new approach.
