Solid cypress wood is used, and the “Uzukuri” process is used so that you can enjoy the texture of the wood with your eyes and skin. When the surface of the wood is polished by rubbing, the soft parts of the annual rings are shaved off, and the grain of the wood stands out beautifully. The natural grain, knots, and shading of the wood can be seen in the colored oil finish. The face color and handle wood differ depending on the body color.

Yu Watanabe
Born in Tokyo in 1929. After graduating from Chiba University with a degree in industrial design, he became a self-employed designer. （He has served as president of the Japan Interior Designers Association and professor at the Chiba Institute of Technology. In response to a request from Hiromatsu Woodworking, he embarked on the design of children's furniture based on a completely new concept. In a short period of time, he developed several unique pieces of furniture including Kid's Furniture with a new approach.
