WF Kids High Table 077

A flower-shaped children's table made of solid cypress wood. It goes perfectly with the Rabbit Chair. A place for children to draw, read picture books, and more. A technique called Uzukuri processing is used so that the texture of the wood can be enjoyed with the eyes and the skin. When the surface of the wood is rubbed and polished, the soft parts of the annual rings are scraped off, and the grain of the wood stands out beautifully. It is finished with colored oil that shows the natural grain, knots, and shading.

Yu Watanabe
Born in Tokyo in 1929. After graduating from the Department of Industrial Design at Chiba University, he became a self-employed designer. He has served as chairman of the Japan Interior Designers Association and professor at Chiba Institute of Technology. In response to a strong call from Hiromatsu Mokko, he has begun designing children's furniture based on a completely new concept. In a short period of time, he has developed a number of unique pieces of furniture, including the innovative Kids' Furniture.
