When making SONO beans , the shaved parts accumulate as a fine powder.
"Is there anything we can do with this wood powder so that we don't waste this limited, precious resource?"
Product development began with this strong desire.

The waste from pencil shavings is used to make wooden clay.
With the help of Hokusei Pencil , we worked on developing the clay.
Since the amount of moisture and oil contained varies depending on the type of wood,
We asked them to repeat trial and error by changing the mixture ratio of the binder resin and water,
Finally, the colorful wooden clay, "SONO Clay," was born.

"Features"
- The natural wood color is left as it is without any coloring, so you can enjoy the soft colors.
- Once dry, it becomes very light and has a unique texture similar to that of unglazed pottery.
It can also be processed in a variety of ways, such as cutting, shaving, and finishing with oil, just like wood.
- Because it is made from natural materials, it will decompose and return to the soil if buried.
