This table-top chest allows you to enjoy the natural differences in color of wood by arranging various species of wood. The SONO series was born from a craftsman's desire and idea to “create something with presence.” Not only is the uniqueness of its appearance fascinating, but the delicate slits between the front panels and the alignment of the small aluminum knobs show the careful work of the craftsman. Although all the drawers appear to be shallow, they are three drawers of different sizes, allowing you to organize and store your smallest items.

Hiromatsu Furniture uses a variety of wood species. Each wood species has its own distinct color, and when combined, they create a lively blend of hues that cannot be achieved with a single type of wood. Despite the array of colors, the chair retains a natural look, as each wood's original color is enhanced with a natural oil finish. The main body of the chair is crafted from solid maple, while the backrest features a striking combination of six different species: maple, cherry, wenge, teak, walnut, and padauk.

Upon delivery, the colors of each wood stand out distinctly, but over time, they mellow and harmonize with each other. This series is designed to be enjoyed over many years, allowing you to appreciate the gradual, natural transformation of each wood as it ages gracefully.
