Making castanets

This is a workshop where you can enjoy the sounds that come from wood. You can make cute castanets that look like round macarons. I wonder if the sound differs depending on the wood? What about the feel?
Please enjoy the gentle feel and sound of natural wood.

"Let's make chopsticks"

Make chopsticks that fit comfortably in your hand using wood species such as maple, walnut, oak, cherry, and teak, which are used in Hiromatsu Mokko furniture. At Hiromatsu Mokko, we use natural oils that meet food standards to finish our furniture. As we finish with the same oil, you can easily maintain them using sandpaper and oil. Try making chopsticks of your favorite length, from small chopsticks that your child will use for the first time, to sustainable My Chopsticks or cooking chopsticks.

"Let's play with scraps"

When making Hiromatsu Mokko furniture, we get small scraps of wood and fabric. What can we make by gluing and painting them together?
This is a workshop where you can create things using your own original ideas, so it's also recommended for summer vacation crafts!
At Hiromatsu Mokko, we are thinking about not wasting materials and protecting forests, and we are doing what we can, however small our contributions may be. How can we avoid wasting materials and resources? We hope this will give you an opportunity to think about this a little.

Workshop precautions!

○Children (elementary school age and younger) must participate together with their parents.
Of course, adults only are welcome to join us too!
Please apply using the name of the participant. There is no need to include the names of accompanying persons.

○The number of people who can apply is the same as the number of workshop kits.
If two people are making two items, you will need to enter the quantity as "2" when ordering.
If you are making one item with two people, please enter the quantity as "1".

○Please note that applications will close once the capacity is reached.
* Reservations will be accepted until July 19th. After that, please contact the venue directly.
