Hiromatsu Mokko's Shaker series is made to reproduce the designs of the time as much as possible, and in the pursuit of beauty. Its design, which is said to have been born from stripping away the decoration of European furniture, is refined and simple, yet still decorative. The ridges on the tops of the chairs and the curved lines of the backrests feel like vestiges of former decorations.

The chair is made with as few parts as possible, in pursuit of maximum comfort, and is surprisingly lightweight, reducing the burden on daily movements. The tape-woven seat not only helps to reduce weight, but also stabilizes the chair when you sit on it, so it will not fall apart, even if parts of the tape break or fray with continued use. It is an impressive example of the wisdom and ingenuity of the time, which was designed for people to spend a long time together, and the variety of tape colors also makes it fun to choose from.
