CORNICE Oval Dining Table

Simple structure with a flat top and square wood. The simplicity of the structure allows you to feel the texture of solid wood in abundance. The legs are set at a slight angle rather than straight, so that the contours of the legs look different when the light hits them. The legs are set inside the edges of the oval tabletop, so they do not interfere with access to the tabletop.

The top can be made of the same knotty solid wood as the legs (oil finish) or linoleum. Linoleum is a sustainable, natural material that can be used in a variety of colors. It has been used in Europe for about 150 years, and is still widely used for everything from interior decoration to medical applications. One of its ingredients, linseed oil, has natural antibacterial properties.
