[Yokohama] Hiromatsu Woodwork Furniture Solo Exhibition 2019

This year marks the 16th time that Hiromatsu Mokko's solo furniture exhibition will be held at the newly opened BankART Station in the basement of Shin-Takashima Station in Yokohama. The theme is "playful mind." Over the course of 11 days, you can experience the playful spirit of Hiromatsu Mokko. This time, we will also be holding the "The World of Kadono Eiko" exhibition, which was held last year at the Hiromatsu Mokko main store in Okawa, Fukuoka Prefecture and was very well received. We look forward to seeing you there.

Concurrent exhibition "The World of Eiko Kadono" [Free admission]
Eiko Kadono, author of "Kiki's Delivery Service," received the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Writers, which is awarded to children's book authors from around the world. This exhibition will make you want to reread her work by showing you how the work was created and the author's own lifestyle. Please travel to the world of the story with author Eiko Kadono.

Ms. Kadono herself will also be appearing at the opening event.

● 9/14 Sat 13:30～ Opening Talk by Eiko Kadono "The Child Within Me" Interviewer: Masako Yokoyama Ms. Yokoyama has been running the children's book specialty store "Kodomo no Hiroba" in Shimonoseki for 40 years. As a long-time friend, she delves into everything from Eiko Kadono's childhood to the secrets behind her creations.

Please note that we may have to restrict admission to talk events once we reach capacity.
In addition, we are planning to have an autograph session after the talk. For the autograph session, we will distribute numbered tickets on a first-come, first-served basis to those who purchase the book at the venue on the day. If you would like to attend, please speak to a staff member. The doors will open from 11:00.

● "My bookshelf" that I created with Eiko Kadono is finished.
The bookshelf in my heart is my own dictionary. I have about 30 really important books. I keep those special books in a bookcase.
It would be nice to have a small bookshelf.

To commemorate the release, we have also planned "My Bookshelf Plus", where you will receive both a bookshelf and a book at the same time.

● Children's Square in Yokohama The Children's Square http://kodomonohiroba.co.jp/, usually located in Shimonoseki, will be appearing at the Hiromatsu Woodworks solo exhibition! During the exhibition period, they will be selling Eiko Kadono's new works, as well as picture books and reading essays.
There is also a corner where you can read Eiko Kadono's books for free.

● Small Da Cafe Diary Photo Exhibition We will be distributing a bonus copy of the "Da Cafe Diary" photo book "Things that Happened Over 10 Days", which was distributed at my solo exhibition in Kobe last year.
We will also be exhibiting and selling the "Spring Summer Fall Winter Audio Basic Speaker Kit" https://www.1101.com/store/speaker_kit/2018-05-28.html.

● Workshop: "Let's make a children's chair"
