NEWCOMER Thank you for voting.

NEWCOMER is a creative activity (product development competition) by employees of Hiromatsu Mokko. This activity started 24 years ago with a few volunteers who love making things, and the "SONO series", which can be said to be the face of Hiromatsu Mokko, was born from this creative activity. This year, various designs were created based on the ideas of 14 employees of Hiromatsu Mokko. A public vote was held at the Spring Fair, which was held for the first time in three years, and the top three designs with the most votes will be announced this time. We will use the opinions of everyone who voted as a reference for future product development. Thank you for your cooperation. All of the works are currently on display at FACTORY SHOP HIROMATSU Okawa Main Store. Please come and visit us.

1st place: "MOCCHI"
Production Group, Packaging and Sewing, Keiko Nakahara, 6 years with the company
I believe that the essence of furniture is "something that satisfies the comfort of the user." When I thought about what that comfort is, I decided that I wanted to make furniture that is soft and fluffy because I like soft and fluffy things. It comes in small, medium and large sizes, and can be used as a stool to sit on or as a table with a tray on it. In addition, it is finished to be fluffy overall, so there is no need to worry about injury if you place it in an area where children run around and bump into it. The round and simple shape allows for various uses depending on your ideas, and the fabrics go well together in any combination, so you can create an original space by choosing your favorite colors. I hope everyone will enjoy using it freely.

2nd place: "Table chest"
Sales Group Nihonbashi Store 2 years with the company Kae Sawamura

This is a chest wagon that is placed next to the dining table. I usually do various things at the table and put things there. In addition to eating, I put it where my children do their homework when studying in the living room, organize handouts, place books they are reading, booklets and handouts that I want to read, mail that I need to open, my children's pencil sharpeners, remote controls, children's drills, etc. ... I always thought it would be nice to have something like a sub-chest for the dining table that can store all of these things and has removable trays and drawers that can be taken out only when needed, and can be moved and placed under the table, so I made it.

3. "SWAG SPACE"
Production Group, 1 year with the company

Kento Motonaga

The theme was to create a space that you like. Because it is made of solid wood, I hope that people who like DIY can create their own space by adding shelves or painting it to change the color.
